Printing Centres are responsible for the provision of printing, inserting and distribution services on behalf of clients of federal departments and agencies on a national basis, including cheque issuance, printing of private documents, reporting and processing of special mailings. This is a mission-critical responsibility of the federal government. The work is done in an industrial context.

The Program and Scheduling Officer reports directly to the printing centers Manager and collaborates with all areas of the production centre. He is responsible for managing programs such as quality assurance, occupational health and safety, emergency planning, disaster recovery plan, business recovery plan, building and property security, etc. He must also organize and distribute the information received from clients and transpose it into monthly and daily production schedules. In addition, he is responsible for producing reports and statistics on production volumes as well as transferring production files while creating a detailed table to start production in other sectors.

Intent of the process

The intent of the process is to hire an officer who will work in person, at our facilities located in Quebec City.

A top down selection of candidates may be used at any stage of this process in the determination of those to be given further consideration in the process.

A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be created from this process and may be used to staff identical or similar positions with varying tenures, security requirements, locations and/or language requirements within the federal public service.
