Duties

We are looking for a candidate to join our team as a storesperson. The incumbent will be responsible for various essential tasks, ensuring the smooth running of our warehouse, responsibilities include:

- Responsible for receiving material at the warehouse and entering the data into the management system.
- Responsible for preparing the vehicles for sale. (Visual inspection, taking pictures, removing decals, cleaning.)
- Preparing the vehicles for delivery to the buyer.
- Preparing the lots for delivery to the buyer
- Answer customer requests for information
- Booking appointments for the pickup and delivery of materiel

Education:
Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
E1 - Experience in shipping, receiving and storing material in a warehouse environment
E2 - Experience in providing customer service
E3 - Experience using a computer to operate Microsoft Office suite applications, i.e Outlook, Excel, and Word.

COMPETENCIES
C5 - Client service competency – Level 1

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Asset Experience:
AE1 - Experience performing minor (including, but not limited to, boosting, tire pressure adjustment, or others) mechanical repairs and maintenance
Asset Certification:
ACERT - Valid forklift operator’s certification

Operational requirements:
Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice
May be required to travel

The selection board cannot make assumptions about your education and experience. When answering the screening questions, it is not sufficient to say that you have the required qualifications or to list your current or past responsibilities. Rather, you must provide concrete examples with significant details to explain when, where and how you acquired each qualification.

To assess candidates, the assessment committee may use a variety of tools and methods, such as: past performance and achievement reviews, written exams, interviews, Public Service Commission (PSC) exams, reference checks, etc.

The selection board may, at any point during the selection process, use random selection or apply asset criteria to select candidates for the next phase of the assessment.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
