Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park are located at the tip of the Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula in the traditional territory of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation. The two parks are known for the rugged shoreline scenery, turquoise water, historic shipwrecks, and incredible natural diversity. Located just a few hours’ drive from the Greater Toronto Area, the parks welcome approximately 750,000 visitors per year coming for inspiration, recreation, and connection with nature.
This position is based out of the Parks Canada Visitor Centre in Tobermory. Hours are varied and include evenings, weekends and holidays.

Education:
Graduation from a post-secondary institution in a relevant field or acceptable combination of education, training, experience and/or traditional knowledge relevant to position.
Experience:
• A minimum of 24 months experience working in a field that incorporates interpretation, outdoor education, traditional knowledge sharing or a related field
• Experience training and supervising employees, including providing performance feedback.

Operational Requirements:
• Work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays
• Willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment
• Stand, walk, hike for prolonged periods
• May be required to handle wildlife and/or captive educational animals
• Work and/or travel in varied terrains, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation
• Possession or willingness to obtain a valid First Aid and CPR (level C and AED)
• Reliability status security clearance
• Possession of a valid class G or G2 driver’s licence
