This is a part-time RAP student position of 5 hours per day (25 hours per week), for a 4-month period, from April 2025 to July 2025.
$27.18 per hour (Student receives about $11,959.20.)

Duties

The duties include:
1) Assist research scientist to perform the experiments of battery materials synthesis and the characterization of the specimens obtained,
2) Prepare and complete the technical reports of the experimental or theoretical studies, and
3) Review and reports of cutting-edge scientific literature of battery materials and critical minerals.

Work environment

The student will be required to work in a Research and Development lab and office environment.

Essential Education:
Current Master of Science student in Materials Science and Engineering program in a Canada university.

Degree equivalency

Essential Experience:
1. Experience in material processing, synthesis, and characterization such as microscopy.
2. Experience in writing technical reports and scientific papers.

In the context of student recruitment in the federal public service, experience can be acquired through studies, work experience or volunteer activities.
