Our hybrid workplace:
Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) adheres to the common hybrid work model for the federal public service required by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat.

Advice and Guidance:
Provides advice to departmental managers, economic and policy specialists, businesses, and industry stakeholders on data collection and processing requirements. This data serves as the basis for decisions related to public sector pension plan policies and programs (e.g., Treasury Board submissions, environmental analyses, benchmarking, strategic planning, cost per account, risk management).
Database Management:
โ Designs, compiles, and maintains various databases and/or data warehouses, ensuring the confidentiality of information.
โ Manages databases containing public service pension plan data or other key information supporting policies, plans, or management activities.
STREAM 2 - STATISTICIAN - EC-03
Research and Analysis:
โ Conducts economic, financial, and/or socio-economic research and analysis under the supervision of management.
โ Supports environmental analyses, benchmarking, strategic planning, cost per account, and risk management activities.
Data Processing and Interpretation:
โ Collects various data and evaluates its relevance to given objectives.
โ Resolves data quality issues.
โ Tests, selects, and applies methods and techniques to sort, analyze, and interpret data.
โ Maintains databases, compiles statistics, generates data reports, and identifies trends or potential outcomes.

The Pension Excellence Sector of the Receiver General and Pension Branch of Public Services and Procurement Canada is looking to staff various EC-03 and EC-04 positions.

โ Graduation with a degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable** specialization*** in economics, sociology or statistics.
Specialization Requirements for this Selection Process:
Candidates must meet the specialization requirement through one of the following:
1 - Successful completion of at least three (3) courses in one of the specified fields (economics, sociology, or statistics) at a recognized post-secondary institution.
2 - An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience relevant to one of the specified fields.
Key Considerations:
โข A degree* is always required and corresponds to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.
โข The three (3) required courses must be in the same field (e.g., all in economics, all in sociology, or all in statistics).
โข Courses may have been completed at a recognized post-secondary institution, but they do not need to be part of a program leading to a degree in the required specialization field.
โข The determination of an acceptable combination (through education, training and/or experience) will be made by the hiring manager based on the position's needs.
