When applying to this selection process, you will be asked to respond to three (3) screening questions.
o Planning, organizing, and conducting statistical and research work for cases.
o Identifying, collecting, and requesting data from other departments
o Designing and testing the maintenance of databases related to the cases in collaboration with the Lead Analyst in preparation for receiving, entering, and verifying survey responses.
o Preparing statistical tables, charts, graphs, and explanatory text as requested by the Lead Analyst.
o Carrying out preparatory research work for SIMA cases (research, coverage, mailing lists, questionnaire design, etc.)
o Providing advice and recommendations to the Lead Analyst and Analyst on questionnaire design, survey methodology, estimation, data validation.
o Reviewing replies to questionnaires from manufacturers, importers and purchasers for completeness, reasonableness, consistency, and accuracy.
o Creating the Investigation Report mock-up and creating and verifying the links between the database and the Investigation Report.
o Providing technical support when needed to Lead Analysts or Analysts.
The intent of the process is to staff one (1) bilingual imperative (BBB/BBB) position on a term basis until March 31, 2026, with possibility of extension.
A partially* qualified pool will be created and may be used to staff similar positions with various linguistic requirements, classifications, tenures, locations, or security level. The pool will be primarily used to staff positions within the ATSSC but could be used by all federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA). EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with specialization in accounting, statistics, commerce, business, economics, international trade, or an acceptable combination of education and experience relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in conducting economic or commercial research, analyses, studies or investigations.
Experience in the use of Excel.
Experience in tabulating and presenting statistics.
ABILITIES
Ability to plan and organize workload to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
Ability to communicate effectively orally.
