If you are committed, motivated and rigorous in your analyses, research, recommendations and reports and if you want to be part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate on a daily basis with experts from different fields, you may be the candidate we are looking for!

PSPC's Technical Services Sectors across Canada are called upon to use their expertise in the service of the Department as well as other federal agencies and departments for the achievement of various real property mandates.

For example :

• Lead various projects, studies, research and analyses in the portfolio;
• Propose measures to promote compliance with Treasury Board’s Directive on the Management of Real Property, standards and regulations, the achievement of departmental and federal government objectives in order to ensure the compliance and sustainability of the real estate portfolio of PSPC;
• Provide advice on the impact that proposed projects, activities and decisions may have on the portfolio’s heritage value, and recommend appropriate measures;
• Interact with numerous clients, partner organizations, representatives of regulatory bodies and internal and external professional groups in order to provide various heritage conservation advice;
• Sit on national committees and act as an expert in a cutting-edge area of heritage conservation to advise the Department and clients.

Intent of the process

The intent of this anticipatory process is to establish a pool of partially qualified candidates to staff various Heritage Architect positions with various tenures, linguistic requirements and security requirements across Canada within Public Services and Procurement Canada.

Positions to be staffed may be located (but not limited to) in the following cities: Vancouver, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Gatineau, Québec and Halifax.

EDUCATION

EDU 1 Graduation with a degree in architecture from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Degree equivalency

CERTIFICATION

EDU2 Licence as a professional architect in Canada.

EXPÉRIENCE

EX1 Experience providing advice and recommendations to senior management and clients on the potential impacts of proposed projects or programs to ensure compliance with legislation and priorities.

EX2 Experience in leading multidisciplinary heritage project teams.

EX3 Experience in providing investigation and design services in architectural conservation services to clients while applying architectural conservation standards and guidelines.
