The Director of Quality Assurance (DQA) has 19 work centres strategically located across Canada. Work centres consist of both military and civilian members that are responsible to perform government quality assurance on behalf of the Department of National Defence, NATO allies and other government departments. Using established quality principles and auditing techniques, DQA monitors suppliers of goods and services involved in the manufacture, repair, overhaul, and disposal of military equipment.
Some duties of a Quality Assurance Representative include:
• monitor contractors’ performance and apply surveillance efforts;
• perform risk assessments on suppliers and their products;
• audit supplier processes/products;
• raise corrective action requests to address nonconformities;
• enhance relationships with procurement and technical authorities by understanding their preoccupations; and
• oversight of materiel during repair and overhaul activities

🛑 EXPERIENCE
EX1. Experience in quality control or quality assurance in a technological, manufacturing or repair and overhaul field.
EX2. Experience providing services in one of the following: mechanical, electrical, electronics, communication, metallurgy, combat system or ammunition or industrial technology field.
EX3. Experience performing system, process, or product audits.
EX4. Experience initiating and following up corrective actions within a Quality Management System
