• Provides technical advice, guidance and assistance on IT capabilities, requirements and plans in order to support the achievement of departmental/agency objectives.

• Participates on inter- and intra-departmental/agency committees or IT working groups engaged in the development of business solutions and the evaluation of options and recommendations relating to IT projects, products and services.
• Leads departmental/agency multi-disciplinary project teams, liaises and works collaboratively with stakeholders to assess the impacts of IT product and/or service changes, evaluates and recommends innovative solutions to support business direction, and liaises and collaborates with stakeholders, including escalating issues/problems as required.

• Supervises and leads a team to support the delivery of innovative IT services.
Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) Office of Energy Efficiency leads Canadians to energy efficiency through policy guidance for the whole of government, both domestically and internationally, and through the delivery of major federal energy efficiency programs and incentives designed to increase awareness and further the advancement:
• of energy efficient technologies, products, codes, standards, and practices in the design and construction of new buildings and homes;
• in the industrial systems and processes of Canadian industries;
• in the design and promotion of energy efficient products and equipment; and
• in energy efficient labelling of products, new or existing construction and industrial facilities.

• Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

• Significant* experience working in an Agile methodology with multi-disciplinary teams to develop IM/IT solutions to meet business needs.
