Intent of the process

This inventory will be used to staff casual positions in Bagotville QC. Casual employment is a temporary form of employment for a maximum of 90 working days per department in a calendar year. Shifts can include evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays as well as ‘’as and when required’’ during the week. A casual worker may not apply to internal job opportunities.

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in the operation of a variety of heavy equipment, such as: Dump Truck, Front End Loader, Bulldozer, Backhoe, Tractor Trailer, Excavator or Grader.
- Experience working in snow and ice control operations.
- Experience in industrial snow-clearing.

Certificat or License:
- Air Brake system endorsement/certificate.
- Possession of an unrestricted Class 1 driver’s license valid in the province of work with air brake endorsement.
- Hold a valid Class 3 Quebec driver’s license or equivalent from another province or territory.
- Possession of certification or completion of training in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

- Hold a valid Class 5 Quebec driver’s license or equivalent from another province or territory without medical or legal restrictions.
- Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a valid departmental driver’s licenses (DND 404).
- Must be able and available to work shift work, weekends, overtime, and stand by as required and sometimes on short notice.

Note: Candidates must meet and maintain the above condition of employment throughout their employment in this position.
