Bruce Peninsula National Park (BPNP) and Fathom Five National Marine Park (FFNMP) are located at the tip of the Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula in the traditional territory of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation.
BPNP is characterized by shoreline cliffs plunging into the turquoise waters of Georgian Bay, large tracts of forest, and a mosaic of habitats home to black bears, rare reptiles, ancient cedar trees, orchids and ferns. FFNMP is Canada's first national marine park, and is known for its deep freshwater ecosystem, ancient rock formations, cliff-edge forests, historic shipwrecks and orchid species.
Together, these two parks protect complex ecosystems in the heart of the Great Lakes, and each year welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors who come for inspiration, recreation and to connect with nature.
This process will be used to create a pool of qualified candidates to staff student positions at Bruce Peninsula National Park and maybe used to staff student positions at other locations within the Eastern and Central Ontario Field Unit.
