👉 The Cleaning Services Officer (GS-BUS-04) performs various activities related to the maintenance of facilities such as, but not limited to:
• Perform cleaning tasks in the institution or Community Correctional Centre
• Order, store and maintain inventory of all sanitation products
• Supervise the distribution of sanitation supplies and cleaning equipment
• Implement practices to meet health and safety standards
• Ensure the maintenance and repair of cleaning equipment
• Conduct cleaning inspections
• Train and supervise inmates employed in the cleaning program
👉 The Cleaning Services Supervisor (GS-BUS-05) manages a team of Cleaning Services Officers and their responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Supervise, control and coordinate cleaning and housekeeping services
• Supervise and train, directly or through Cleaning Services Officers, inmates employed in the cleaning program
• Order and store cleaning products, equipment and maintenance supplies and maintain inventory
• Ensure budget compliance for cleaning services
• Inspect operational units or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met, and arrange for additional maintenance, repairs, cleaning equipment replacement, furniture relocation and pest control inspections
• Perform administrative duties, including attending meetings and developing, producing and processing various cleaning-related documents
• Use and maintain material handling equipment and cleaning equipment as required
• Maintain tool control procedures at all times

Successful completion of three (3) years of secondary school OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCES:

• Experience working in a correctional environment.
• Experience in the operation, maintenance or repair of industrial cleaning equipment.
• Experience in the supervision and training of individuals.
• Experience in ordering and distributing commercial supplies and equipment.
• Experience in the proper techniques and methods to clean up bodily fluids or biohazard spills.
