Duties

The position requires, but is not limited to:
✔ Perform repetitive tasks
✔ Lift supplies, tools and equipment such as buckets
✔ Dust and wash walls, windows, furniture, floors and bathrooms
✔ Pick up trash and garbage
✔ Travel outdoors with some exposure to weather elements
✔ Make various follow-up calls to building service providers (off-season inspections)
✔ Perform visual inspections of various mechanical systems (e.g., generator, fire system)
✔ In winter, light shoveling of access roads and emergency exits
✔ Year-round, be first responder for building services

The position requires the incumbent to :
✔ Willingness to take first aid and CPR training
✔ In addition to site housekeeping, inspect various mechanical systems on the site
✔ Be the person designated to answer calls from the alarm central (designated person)
✔ Moderate physical effort to stand for long periods and/or to clean facilities/areas
✔ Light shovelling of access roads and emergency exits
✔ The need to wear the Parks Canada uniform in accordance with the Parks Canada Uniform Policy and/or to wear personal protective equipment as required by the Agency
✔ As required, willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - Possess and maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license
Ability to perform a variety of physical activities efficiently and safely
