Information on language requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution and a valid license to practice cadastral surveying in at least One (1) Canadian jurisdiction.

*If licensure is not for Canada Lands, the candidate will be required, to obtain within one year, licensure on Canada Lands through the process established under the Mutual Recognition Agreement on Labour Mobility for Land Surveyors in Canada.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Exp1. Experience in providing professional and technical advice on geospatial and land management policies and programs to *senior government officials

Exp2. Experience in strategic leadership of a multi-disciplined land related organization and implementing innovative solutions for geospatial service delivery.

Exp3. Experience engaging with various stakeholder interests and navigating the political, economic and social context of diverse Indigenous perspectives towards land and land tenure.

Exp4. **Significant experience in managing human and financial resources.


*Senior government officials are defined as Assistant Deputy Minister, Chief Executive Officer or equivalent.

**Significant is understood to mean the depth and breadth of the experience associated with having performed these activities with multi-disciplinary teams or in a matrix environment and for a period of five (5) years.

ASSET PROFESSIONAL OCCUPATION:

License to practice cadastral surveying on Canada Lands.

ASSET EXPERIENCE:

Experience in managing spatial reference frameworks (national, provincial or municipal).

Experience managing surveys of jurisdictional boundaries (international, interprovincial, and/or exterior boundaries of Canada Lands).

Experience working with international partners or representing Canada in international forums.
