Duties

This position provides cleaning and sanitation services to Parks Canada buildings and offices. Visitors to Parks Canada places rank clean bathrooms as one of the most important aspects that enhance their visitor experience.

Intent of the process

Anticipatory/Seasonal/Term
Part-time work can be considered.

This process is intended to fill existing vacancy(ies) and may be used to fill anticipated seasonal vacancy(ies) with the same work description.

This process is an inventory. We will be extracting the first round of applications for the 2025 operational season on October 16, 2024. If you want to work this upcoming season apply by this date or you may only be considered should we have staff shortages later in the season.

EXERIENCE:
-Acceptable experience in providing cleaning services.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ADDITIONNAL EXPERIENCES:
- Experience in providing cleaning services in a commercial or institutional environment.
- Experience in maintaining / restocking supplies.
- Experience in interactions with the public; responding to visitor questions and providing direction

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - Reliability Status security clearance - A security status screening is undertaken by Parks Canada for candidates who are successful in the competition. OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYEMENT :
-Valid class 5 Nova Scotia driver’s licence or provincial equivalent
