Duties

⭐As an IT team leader, you will be called upon to work on these different tasks::
• Provide specialized technical advice and support for technical issues related to the planning, development, implementation, integration and maintenance of IT infrastructure operations
• Integrate, deploy and/or maintain IT systems
• Provide technical analysis, advice and recommendations on IT systems, products and services
• Develop, implement or evaluate information technology policies, guidelines, standards and frameworks, and conduct research for their preparation.
• Lead or participate in project teams and working groups of technical staff to facilitate the development, testing, implementation, maintenance and resolution of IT infrastructure issues.
• Supervise analysts, provide leadership and ensure their ongoing professional development.

Intent of the process

The immediate intention of this process is to fill an IT-03 position (IT Team lead, IT Infrastructure Operations) on an indeterminate basis.

A pool of qualified candidates will be established to staff similar positions with various tenures (indeterminate, specified period, acting, secondment or assignment).

🚀 ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS 🚀

EDUCATION:
• Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Note : at the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met using this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.

EXPERIENCE:
• Experience of approximately two (2) years obtained within the last five (5) years technical analysis and development of a project, initiative or digital service to meet client needs and requirements.

• Experience of approximately two (2) years in collaboration and building effective working relationships with various IM/IT stakeholders and a multidisciplinary team to develop, deliver or support a digital application, project, initiative or service.

• Experience of approximately two (2) years obtained within the last five (5) years in providing technical recommendations, guidance or advice to clients, colleagues or management (Manager level or above) on issues related to digital systems, applications, projects, initiatives or digital services.

• Experience in writing technical documents such as, but not limited to, procedures, digital requirements, business cases, architecture diagrams (e.g. Application, infrastructure, or enterprise, etc.), or technical notes for internal or external clients or partners.

EDUCATION
• University degree from a recognized academic institution in computer science, information technology, information management or another field related to the position to be filled.

• Professional certifications such as: Information Technology Information Library (ITIL); Project Management Professional (PMP); cybersecurity; virtualisation; Certifications incloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure ou AWS , Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA), Certification in Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), CCNA, CCNP, etc.

💻 ASSET QUALIFICATIONS 💻

EXPERIENCE
• Experience supervising employees (assigning work and tasks, monitoring progress of the work unit, monitoring daily performance, providing feedback, participating in selection and hiring processes, etc.)
• Experience in options analysis of IT solutions, including making recommendations to management.
• Experience with integration and administration of commercial IT products (COTS) for the purpose of providing IT services.
• Experience in integration and administration of cloud products and infrastructure to provide IT services.
• Experience in researching and recommending expenditures for the acquisition, installation and maintenance of software solutions, cloud technologies and services, software solutions, infrastructure, hardware and software products, and contracted services within approved budgets.
