🏢 Work Environment:
Working within a federal correctional institution, interacting with both offenders and staff. This role involves the supervision and training of offenders in Food Services, aimed at enhancing their employability skills and promoting positive work behaviors.
🍽️ 1: Food Distribution Helper (GS-FOS-02) - Main Responsibilities:
As a Food Distribution Helper, you will primarily be responsible for cleaning and maintaining food preparation equipment. You will also assist in the ordering, receiving, and distribution of food products, as well as helping with the distribution and service of meals. Additionally, you will play a key role in the preparation and distribution of food to inmates in a correctional facility or a regional food production center (CRPA).
👩🍳 2: Cook's Helper (GS-FOS-03) - Main Responsibilities:
As a Cook’s Helper, you will be involved in meal preparation, including cooking, and in the distribution and service of meals. In addition, you will manage the supply, inventory, and distribution of provisions, while ensuring kitchen and equipment cleanliness and hygiene. You will take on a more central role in coordinating activities related to food production for inmates within a correctional facility or a regional food production center (CRPA).
