Duties

This inventory aims to fill several positions in various regions of Canada.
Here is a brief description of these positions.

Stream 1: Instructional designer/ Educational Specialist/ Training Evaluation and Standards
The role of this position is to work with interested parties to plan, develop and implement programmes and courses. It includes the integration of technology, and media to increase learning effectiveness.

The following is a non-exhaustive list of the position’s main activities:
• Conduct needs analysis.
• Develop, maintain, and review programmes and courses, learning evaluation tools as well as multimedia material.
• Design and develop learning material such as training plans, lesson plans.
• Deliver training to personnel on subjects pertaining to pedagogy and education in general.
• Offer expert advice to the teaching staff on subjects pertaining to programmes, courses, and learning evaluation tools.
• Ensure the conformity of didactic material.

Stream 2: Leadership Educator
The role of this position is to foster the development of leadership and management skills in naval/officer cadets (university students). It includes developing learning material, and teaching leadership and management content.

The main duties of this position are as follows:
• Conduct needs analysis for leadership and management development training.
• Develop, maintain and review programmes and courses, learning evaluation tools.
• Design and develop learning material such as training plans, lesson plans.
• Deliver leadership and management training to naval/officer cadets.
• Offer expert advice on subjects pertaining to leadership and management development.
• Ensure the conformity of instructional material to standards.

Intent of the process

Our immediate need is to fill two (2) positions in St-Jean-sur Richelieu, QC, one (1) position in Kingston, ON and one (1) position in Borden, ON.

A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process, and used to staff identical or similar positions with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), various language profiles, various operational requirements, and conditions of employment.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in education, linguistics, sociology, psychology, mathematics, physics, home economics or some other specialty relevant to the positions in the classification.

Note: Candidates must always have a university degree. The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:
