Assessment accommodation

Duties

We are looking for several positions in different fields, including Assistant, Administrative, Bookkeeper, HR Assistant, Executive Assistant and Administrative Services Officer. Duties may vary depending on the position, but generally include (but are not limited to):

- Prepare various types of documents, such as reports, presentations and correspondence.
- Respond to inquiries and provide necessary information to internal and external customers.
- Enter and track information in a database to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
- Proceed with travel bookings for staff and ensure that all arrangements are complete.
- Take care of the logistics of meetings by organizing rooms, preparing documents and coordinating participants.
- Monitors budget expenditures and prepares financial reports to ensure responsible management of resources.

Work environment

Parks Canada is a government agency responsible for the conservation and management of Canada's national parks, national historic sites, and marine conservation areas. Intent of the process

The Mauricie and Western Quebec Field Unit is looking for talented professionals for potential opportunities in our three workplaces: Shawinigan, Montreal and Chambly.

A minimum of two days a week physical presence in the office is required, then three days a week starting in September 2024, depending on the workplace you are interested in. This presence promotes the exchange of ideas, teamwork and cohesion within our team.

Hiring managers will be able to select additional experience criteria based on the specific needs of the positions to be filled. Thus, you could be contacted for various types of job offers, including various durations and responsibilities adapted to your skills and professional aspirations.

Our staffing process works like an inventory, allowing for ongoing assessments and job offers during the posting period.

This process could be used to create a list of qualified candidates to staff similar positions with different employee status, security level or language requirements, in these same locations or elsewhere in the country.

A 1st extraction of applications will take place on June 17, 2024 for specific (temporary) opportunities. Other extractions will follow as needed.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

* STUDIES *
- A high school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

* EXPERIENCE *
- Experience in performing general administrative* tasks.

*Administrative tasks are defined as follows, but are not limited to: preparing various types of documents, responding to inquiries and providing necessary information, paying invoices, managing a generic mailbox, entering and tracking information in a database, maintaining a filing system, creating letters from templates, send and receive correspondence, manage and disseminate information, make travel reservations, take care of meeting logistics, digitize documents, track budget expenditures, etc.

* Specific experience for Accounting Assisant (CR-05) *
- Experience in advising on the application of financial policies and directives.

* Experience for Excutive Assistant (AS-01) *
- Experience writing, formatting and reviewing various documentation. (e.g., correspondence, reports, briefing notes, etc.).

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

* EDUCATION (Asset) *
- A post-secondary degree in a relevant field (e.g. finance, administration, human resources, etc.).

Degree equivalency

* ADDTIONAL EXPERIENCES, which will be considered based on available opportunities. It is not mandatory to meet all the experiences below, please only meet the criteria of experience you have, with the help of concrete examples, duration, how, when and where you gained experience

- Experience in providing budget and financial support services.

- Experience in auditing accounts receivable and/or accounts payable

- Experience using a financial system.

- Experience in verifying and processing invoices, claims or any other type of payment.

- Experience maintaining a database and preparing reports.

-Experience in providing human resources support services.

- Experience using the Phoenix pay system in the area of pay and benefits.

- Experience coordinating travel and processing travel claims.
