The incumbent leads and manages projects in the field of electronic security systems to ensure efficient, timely and effective delivery of electronic security systems in grouped establishments in one or many regions across Canada.
The Electronic Security Systems Branch of Correctional Service Canada is a stimulating and dynamic environment where the mission is to ensure the operation, compliance and sustainability of systems and equipment in an operational environment. We are responsible for institutions and penitentiary clusters and community correctional centers located throughout Canada. The systems we manage are diverse such as uninterruptible power supply, movement and fences detection systems, closed-circuit television systems, door controls, alarms, radios, access, etc.

EDUCATION :
· A secondary school diploma AND completion of an acceptable training program in electronics technology or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCES :
· Significant* experience in planning, developing and implementing projects related to electronic security systems
· Experience in managing professional contract services such as, but not limited to, contractors, consultants, engineers or technicians
· Experience with financial management including budget planning, tracking and forecasting activities
· Experience to provide advice and guidance and to formulate recommendations
* Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of complex inter-related activities and the performance of these duties for a period of approximately 12 months on a full time basis.
EDUCATION :
· Diploma from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in a field related to the position
EXPERIENCE :
· Relevant experience related to the position in the electrical or electronic field
