📋 Positions are entitled to an Inmate Training Differential range of 7% to 9% of the salary in the position staffed and a $2140 Correctional Services Special Duty Allowance yearly, no matter the location of work.

Plan members who have retired from the federal public service are eligible to receive coverage under the Public Service Health Care Plan, provided they receive a public service pension. Institution based positions earn operational service time, where after 10 years of service employees can retire at age 50.
📆 Leave with Pay: Vacation paid leave @ 3 weeks annually increasing over incremental in years of service up to 6 weeks.
Employees with more than two (2) years of service, as defined in clause 37.03, shall be credited a one-time entitlement of forty (40) hours of vacation leave with pay, or thirty-seven and a half (37.5) where the standard work week is thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hours in addition to vacation leave accumulation.

PLUMBER – GL-PIP-09
Provision of maintenance in such areas, as: plumbing, hot water heating, chilled water, low pressure steam, gas, fire protection, potable water, natural gas heating, sanitary, compressed air lines, and storm sewer services for the occupants and staff of a Correctional Service of Canada institution.
GARAGE MECHANIC/INSTRUCTOR – GL-VHE-09
