Starting April 1, 2023, all federal employees will be required to work from a Government of Canada workplace at least two to three times per week, or 40% to 60% of their regular schedule. EDUCATION
• A secondary school diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
• Possession of a valid Aviation Document Booklet.
• Possession of an valid Category 1 Aviation Medical.
• Possession of a Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence - Aeroplane Category with a Group 1 Instrument Rating that meets all applicable currency requirements to be able to exercise the privileges of the licence OR possession of a Canadian Commercial Pilot Licence - Helicopter Category with a Group IV Instrument Rating that meets all applicable currency requirements to be able to exercise the privileges of the licence.
• Possession of a Restricted Radio-Telephone Operator Certificate (endorsed Aeronautical).
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience acquired within the last 6 years, as a pilot with a Canadian Air Operator, Private Operator (CAR 604), Flight Training Unit or in the Canadian Military.
MINIMUM FLIGHT TIME
• Total of 2,500 hours flight time, which includes 1,000 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in multi-engine aeroplanes OR Total of 2,500 hours flight time, which includes 1,000 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in medium or heavy category helicopters.
