This is an inventory of potential candidates to fill upcoming employment opportunities at the CR-03 Receptionist/Mail Services Clerk fields based on anticipated needs.

The inventory will be updated every 180 days. You will receive a notice in your applicant account 5 days before the end of your active period to determine whether or not you wish to keep being considered for an additional 180 days.

You will be required to complete an online experience questionnaire when you apply. The information you provide in the questionnaire must be true. You must respond to all statements in all categories in order to proceed to the next steps.

Duties

Receptionist
Providing reception services, re-directing calls to other organizational units, recording/distributing messages. Performing routine administrative tasks, including completing documentation for supplies, repairs, boardroom reservation management. Data entry in various databases and spreadsheets to extract reports. Provides relief for the mail clerk.

Mail Services Clerk
Providing mail services by opening incoming mail, sorting and distribution throughout the facility. Performing routine administrative tasks including completing documentation for supplies and maintaining logs.

Intent of the process

Depending on the needs, candidates may be randomly selected from the inventory for assessment purposes. This process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates from which future permanent and/or temporary CR-03 vacancies at the Public Health Agency of Canada may be filled. French and English proficiency is a requirement as the incumbent will be required to answer and field calls in both official languages.

ASSET QUALFICATIONS:
Significant* experience using one or more of the following applications: MS Access, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
*Significant is defined as two (2) or more years using the above noted programs.
Experience in the provision of mail delivery services.
Experience using a Mitel switchboard.
Experience using a multi-line switchboard.

The primary assessment (written tests, interview) location will be in Winnipeg, MB.

Candidates from outside the federal public service who are invited to written exams and/or interviews may be responsible for travel and accommodation expenses. Where possible and available, some or all of the assessment activities may be conducted at the location of residence of the applicant by local proctor or by videoconference, at the sole discretion of Public Health Agency of Canada.

Candidates must meet each essential qualification to be appointed to the position.
