Important messages

When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.

This inventory of potential candidates will be used to fill upcoming vacancies at the AS-01, AS-02 and AS-03 groups and levels in various administrative fields within Public Services and Procurement Canada.

As various positions will be filled from this inventory, a complete statement of merit criteria is not provided at this time. The criteria listed are those requirements to be met for entry into the inventory. Should you be contacted for further consideration, the hiring manager will provide a copy of the complete Statement of Merit Criteria for the position being filled. At that time, you may be required to provide additional information to be used for screening and assessment. The merit criteria may be assessed each time using a variety of assessment methods in accordance with the position requirements.

When submitting your application, you MUST ANSWER all questions. You MUST CLEARLY DEMONSTRATE HOW you meet each of these requirements by answering the online questions. IT IS NOT SUFFICIENT to only state that the qualifications are met or to only provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Rather you MUST clearly demonstrate WHEN (month-year to month-year), WHERE and HOW you acquired each qualification by giving concrete examples. Information provided in your answers related to your education and experience MUST BE SUPPORTED in your resume. Failure to provide the above information in the format required may result in your application being rejected from the process.

Your experiences will be evaluated according to the level of complexity and depth of your explanation, and will determine the group and level for which you will be considered.

Depending on the requirements of the position or positions being filled, any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements, and organizational needs MAY BE CONSIDERED at any time during this process. These criteria may be a deciding factor in choosing the persons to be appointed. Therefore, IT IS IMPORTANT that you answer each of the questions related to these requirements.

Depending on the needs of the organization, a random selection will be used at any time during the process to identify which applicants from the inventory will be assessed.

If you are being considered for a position, you will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your interest and to provide additional information if needed. You will be asked to provide a response and additional information within a specific timeframe (minimum of 24 hours).

The inventory will be updated every 30 days. You will receive a written notice in your PSRS Applicant Account 5 days before the end of your active period to confirm whether or not you still wish to be considered for an additional 30 days.

If special circumstances prevent you from having access to your e-mail, please communicate with the contact-person identified below.

It is your responsibility to keep your personal data in your PSRS Applicant Account up-to-date and to check your e-mail account regularly to ensure that you do not miss out on any opportunities. If you fail to respond in the appropriate timeframe, your candidacy WILL NOT BE REFFERRED to the hiring manager.

Candidates will be required to pay for all TRAVEL AND RELOCATION expenses related to this selection process, including travel expenses for assessment purposes.

All job applications must be submitted through the Public Service Resourcing System.

Persons with disabilities preventing them from applying on-line are asked to contact 1-800-645-5605.
