Duties

Performs clerical services in support of the delivery of the department's programs and services to clients in the Pensions mailroom and file management areas.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Receiving, screening, classifying, sorting and/or registering initial mail/client information for various departmental programs and services within prescribed procedures and requirements;
Verifying and authenticating client information;
Obtaining, inputting, maintaining and extracting data and documentation related to applications and claims; and/or,
Operating various types of office equipment e.g. postage meters, high-speed printers.

Work environment

A high-volume client service environment providing support in mailroom, work distribution and file management areas; including office and warehouse environments.

Intent of the process

Anticipatory staffing. This selection process will be used to create a qualified pool of candidates and may be used to fill future indeterminate, term and casual positions with various language requirements (Bilingual CBC/CBC or English Essential) in Timmins, Ontario.

The pool may be used to staff similar positions in Timmins, Ontario within Employment and Social Development Canada.

** PLEASE NOTE: Assessment is planned to occur on an ongoing basis. Failure to participate in assessments as scheduled may result in the rejection of your candidacy.
