ASSESSMENT INFORMATION:

Work environment

A Program Officer provides information, advice and guidance and promotes and delivers programs. The duties include the assessment and recommendation of Grants and Contributions applications including the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, and monitoring and evaluation of agreements. To excel in this position you must be; highly motivated a quick learner, quality oriented, client focused and able to thrive in a fast paced, high volume environment.

Intent of the process

The Program Officer positions are located in Kingston, Kitchener, Mississauga, Simcoe, Sudbury and Toronto in Ontario. Pools of qualified candidates will be established to staff positions full-time, on a specified period (term) or indeterminate basis for various language requirements in these locations. Applicants are encouraged to apply only if they are able to relocate or commute to these locations. Applicants must specify the location(s) for which they are interested in their applications.

The pools may be used to staff similar positions within the department in the Ontario Region.

EDUCATION:
. A secondary school diploma or a satisfactory score on the General Intelligence Test 320 (the PSC test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma).
