When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.
This is an inventory of potential candidates to fill upcoming employment opportunities at the CR-03, CR-04, CR-05, AS-01 and AS-02 in various administrative and clerical fields based on anticipated needs within the department of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC).
The inventory will be updated every 30 days. You will receive a notice in your applicant account 5 days before the end of your active period to determine whether or not you wish to keep being considered for an additional 30 days.
You will be required to complete an online experience questionnaire when you apply. The information you provide in the questionnaire must be true. You must respond to all statements in all categories in order to proceed to the next steps.
If you are considered for a position, your résumé will be verified by PSPC before each referral of your application to a hiring manager. You must make sure that all the experience criteria you identified in the questionnaire are included in your résumé. If during the verification of your résumé your experience is not clearly demonstrated, your application may be rejected. Any false and/or fraudulent information will result in the rejection of your application.
Depending on the needs of the organization, candidates will be randomly selected from the inventory for assessment purposes. This process may be used to establish a pool of partially or fully qualified candidates which may be used by PSPC to staff positions with various linguistic profiles, various security profiles, various locations across Canada and various tenures such as (indeterminate, term and casual position).

PSPC will use a combination of relevant experience criteria to identify and then evaluate candidates based on the needs of the unit each time a specific position is being staffed.

Essentials experience DEPENDING on the position being staffed:
.Experience in administrative tasks such as (photocopying, correspondence control, filing systems, mailroom services, records management, reception of calls and visitors, the use of a scanner, data entry, travel arrangements, processing travel claims, drafting meeting minutes, etc.).
.Experience in customer service.
.Experience working in an manager's, director's and/or senior manager's office as an Administrative Assistant such as (travel arrangements, processing travel claims, drafting meeting minutes, managing schedules, organize and/or coordinate meetings/conferences/information sessions/events, make payments using a business credit card, etc.).
.Experience in providing support services in Human Resources such as (classification, staffing, training and development, labour relations, official languages, employment equity, etc.).
.Experience in the use of an integrated Human Resources system.
.Experience in the use of PeopleSoft V.8.9 and/or V.9.1.
.Experience in the use of a learning system such as SABA.
.Experience in pay services.
.Experience in pension services.
.Experience in providing support services in finance or accounting and/or the use of an integrated financial system such as SAP (Systems Applications and Products), etc.
.Experience in providing support services in procurement such as (contracting procedures, administration of bids, requests for proposals, material management, etc.).
.Experience in the use of Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or Outlook.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
May vary according to the position being staffed, for example but not limited to:
.Candidate must be willing and able to do shift work.
.Candidate must be willing to work weekends when necessary.
.Candidate must be willing and able to work overtime and on short notice.
.Candidate must be willing and able to lift up to 20 kg in accordance with safe work practices
.Willing and able to work between 7:00a.m. and 6:00p.m. according to an assigned schedule.

When opportunities arise and to manage volume, we will randomly select candidates from the inventory.
