Duties

Program and Service Delivery Clerks perform service delivery administrative functions to support business stream activities. Main duties vary based on the program area and location of the position.

Duties may include:

Applying established procedures and guidelines related to the validation of information for both administration and program delivery.

Analysing and validating data and/or documentation for accuracy, completeness and compliance. Carrying out fact-finding activities to research and retrieve information in order to determine entitlement or identify areas of apparent misuse of funds/benefits.

Obtaining, inputting, maintaining and extracting data and documentation related to applications, claims, invoices, requisitions and other administrative forms.

Communicating with clients and employers to obtain and provide required information.

Making payment or administrative decisions related to computer generated data on straight forward/non-complex applications that are complete and in compliance with the established criteria, procedures, guidelines and system authorities (e.g. adjudication of clerical audits to determine overpayment).

Referring cases as per clearly established procedures and guidelines to the appropriate level for decision.

Identifying, preparing reports and referring complex cases to the appropriate level for decision within clearly established procedures and guidelines.

Coordinating logistics for meetings/sessions, or committees (e.g. scheduling location, participants and follow-up).

WAITING PERIOD FOR REASSESSMENT: The retest period for assessment as a Program and Service Delivery Clerk is 180 days from the date of elimination at either the written exam or interview/reference stage of the process. You will be required to show how you meet the essential qualifications (i.e. Education, Experience) for the initial screening through your resume and by answering online screening questions. It is NOT sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities.

A pass mark will be established for each essential qualification. Candidates must meet each essential qualification to be appointed to the position. A candidate may be appointed to the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications, organizational requirements, or operational needs. However, meeting these criteria is desirable and may be used as a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.

You may be assessed using one (1) or more of the following tools: written exams, situational test, take home exercise.

Reference checks will be sought.

Interviews will be conducted.

To be considered for a Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC position, you must already have Second Language Evaluation results at the CBC/CBC level (proof will be required) OR you must be willing to undergo a Second Language Evaluation.
