Intent of the process

An inventory of candidates may be established to staff various positions within the Canada Border Services Agency.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

CR-05 Positions:
Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer- approved alternatives.

AS-01 Positions:
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

Degree equivalency

Experience in providing a service to clients or general public by telephone or in person or in writing.

Experience in responding to enquiries from clients.

Experience in providing clients or stakeholders with information.

Experience in coordinating travel arrangements.

Experience in preparing travel claims.

Experience preparing and processing a variety of legal documents and non-legal documents.

Experience in organizing, planning, and delivering a full range of administrative support services.

Experience coordinating administrative activities in the office of a senior manager.

Experience in providing administrative support such as managing a daily schedule, including planning and coordinating meetings.

Experience in taking and transcribing minutes of meetings.

Experience organizing and maintaining files.

Experience in maintaining electronic and hard copy file systems.

Experience using MS Word.

Experience using MS PowerPoint.

Experience using MS Excel.

Experience using MS Access.

Experience using MS Outlook.

Experience in using an Information Management System (eg. RIMS, iCase, CCM Mercury, GCDocs).

Experience in working in Human Resources in the Public Service or the private sector.

This inventory may be used to staff positions in other department/agencies working under the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA).
