Education:
E1. Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another speciality relevant to the position to be staffed.
Notes:

Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IT Group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT Group.

Experience
EX1.Recent* and extensive*** experience working in an IT delivery environment**** to meet external and internal client needs with demonstrated experience in at least one of the following areas: planning design, development, implementation, maintenance, delivery, support of IT services, project or solutions using best practices. IT projects to meet external and internal client needs.
EX2. Significant** experience in formulating and presenting advice, analysis and recommendations to senior management (director level and above) on IM/IT issues policies or standards.
EX3. Experience in human resource management including supervision and performance management.
EX4. Experience in financial management such as forecasting exercises, cost center budgeting, project costing, tracking burn rate of consulting resources, tracking employee time charged against projects or verifying financial system reports against funding.
EX5. Experience analyzing requirements and recommending solutions relating to software development and database management in a scientific setting.
Definitions
Recent* experience is defined as within the last five (5) years.
Significant** experience is defined as a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
Extensive*** experience is defined as a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
IT delivery Environment**** the design, development, implementation, management, monitoring, security and access management, application planning, solutions development, technical support, user support, service management, quality assurance and testing, capacity and performance planning, work process and standards development, and problem management for the departmental/agency software and database management solutions and services.

AEX5. Experience in cybersecurity threat analysis and coordinating mitigating threats. Experience analyzing, classifying and re-architecting systems.
