This opportunity is for a leadership role in OSFI’s information technology team. The Director of Infrastructure and Technology Services is expected to lead and develop a high performing team. Responsibilities include:
• Fostering a positive work environment, ensuring skills and knowledge are shared, and keeping pace with state of the market technology trends.
• Providing high value contributions to IM/IT management team meetings and various OSFI projects.
• Developing and monitoring infrastructure utilization policies, managing outsourced services, providing technical guidance, participating in business continuity and recovery planning, supporting and ensuring technical compatibility with enterprise projects.
• Leading and overseeing day-to-day operations, including WAN/LAN infrastructure, Security Operations Center, Network Operations Center, cloud infrastructure management, internet connectivity and access, Inter-agency connectivity, Mobile Device Services, On-premises computing infrastructures, Infrastructure Management and Cost optimization, Infrastructure project planning and prioritization, and regular infrastructure performance metric reviews.

💵 Compensation: OSFI offers a competitive salary, and employees may be eligible for in-range increases and economic adjustments. Salaries are based on qualifications, experience and knowledge. The Public Service Pension Plan is a defined benefit pension plan (indexed for inflation), where both the employer and the employee contribute.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
A degree OR diploma from a post-secondary institution with specialization in computer science, information technology, business administration, or another specialty directly relevant to the position OR an acceptable combination* of relevant professional industry experience and education
*The acceptable combination has been set to 10 years of experience in the IM/IT field.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
• Experience in developing and managing distributed teams with diverse technology responsibilities
• Recent* and significant** experience providing strategic advice, briefings, recommendations and presentations to senior management*** involving complex**** business or IM/IT issues
• Experience at the executive level***** in the management of the IM/IT portfolio operations and infrastructures
• Experience in the management of IM/IT financial resources and budgets, procurement operations and outsourcing
• Recent* and significant** experience in the leadership, management and provision of technical advice and guidance to an interdisciplinary project team
• Recent* experience with WAN/LAN infrastructure, security and network operations, cloud infrastructure management, internetworking, mobile device management and on-premises computing infrastructures
* Recent is defined by relevant experience within the last 8 years.
** Significant is defined as having at least 5 years of relevant experience.
*** Senior management is defined by Director General or the 2nd level of the Senior Executive Team and above.
**** Complex issues are issues with at least three (3) of the following characteristics: multidimensional, sensitive, confidential, affecting many partners or stakeholders, precedent setting, having a major impact on the service or program delivery.

ASSET EDUCATION
• Postgraduate or Master’s degree, in business administration, technology or science-related field such as engineering
ASSET EXPERIENCE
• Experience in managing third party service providers such as cloud, internet, network and telecommunications
• Experience with management of technology infrastructure and client sites in different locations and time zones across Canada
