A pool of essentially qualified candidates will be established from this process which may be used to staff similar positions within Transport Canada at various locations, with various tenures (indeterminate, specified period, acting, assignment/secondment, deployment), and various conditions of employment, which may vary according to the position to be staffed. The pool may be used to staff positions with various language/linguistic profiles and security requirements.

• A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combinations of education, training, and/or experience.
• Significant* experience in consultation, engagement or collaboration with Indigenous People(s) (First Nation, Inuit and/or Métis) and/or with Indigenous communities or organizations.
• Experience planning and facilitating meetings involving multiple organizations (e.g. coordination of meetings and special events, developing agendas and facilitating discussion, drafting meeting minutes, and conducting adequate follow-ups).
• Experience in conducting research and analysis of issues or initiatives.
• Experience in providing recommendations and preparing strategic documents to Senior Management**.
*Significant is defined as two years of cumulative experience within the last five years.
**Senior Management is defined as Director level or above.
• Experience working on agreements, or partnerships or other operational arrangements or plans with Indigenous communities or organizations.
• Experience working with or for Indigenous communities or organizations in Ontario.
• Experience in interpreting Government of Canada’s Aboriginal Consultation and Accommodation guidelines and policies.
• Experience working in Environmental/Impact Assessment.
