Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one (1) term position for an 8-month period. This may be for a shorter period depending on the situation.
A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established from this selection process and may be used to staff similar positions within the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:

A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

EXP1: Experience in providing advice, guidance and recommendations to clients related to Occupational Health and Safety ;
EXP2: Experience in supporting an Occupational Health and Safety Program;
EXP3: Experience in supporting an Occupational Health and Safety Committee.

Knowledge:

K1: Knowledge of the Canada Labour Code, Part II
K2: Knowledge of the Workers Compensation Claim Process
K3: Knowledge of investigation techniques, procedures and practice related to Occupational Health and Safety

Abilities:

AB1: Ability to communicate effectively orally
AB2: Ability to communicate effectively in writing
AB3:Ability to plan and organize workload
AB4: Ability to analyze and make recommendations

Personal Suitability:

PS1: Judgement
