Assessment accommodation

APPLICATION INFORMATION

We aim to evaluate all candidates through an expedited selection process. This will consist of the following:

• Three (3) screening questions and an integrated written exam with three (3) questions.
• A second written exam.
• Evaluation of your second language proficiency (French or English) at a later date, which include two (2) online tests.
• No formal interview or reference checks*.

The pool of qualified candidates will be established following the above-mentioned assessments.

*Hiring managers may conduct informal interviews and/or reference checks following the creation of this pool.

Duties

There are many unique clerk positions across the ATSSC. Responsibilities vary, but may include the following:

• Process operational and administrative requests from internal and external clients.
• Enter and validate information in databases and address discrepancies or anomalies.
• Create and maintain folders relating to projects, cases, and decisions.
• Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of files.

Work environment

The ATSSC is a department with over 600 employees. Its mandate is to provide support services to twelve (12) federal administrative tribunals, covering areas such as human rights, industrial relations, social security, international trade, specific claims of First Nations, cultural properties, and many more. Established with the goal of centralizing tribunal support services, the ATSSC is also committed to continually enhancing access to justice for the Canadian population.

Intent of the process

The intent of the process is to staff three (3) bilingual positions on a determinate basis.

A partially qualified pool will be created and may be used to staff similar positions with various linguistic requirements, classifications, tenures, locations, or security level. The pool will be primarily used to staff positions within the ATSSC but could be used by all federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA). Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

EXP2. Experience using a minimum of two (2) computer programs, such as but not limited to Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel.

AEXP1. Experience in providing administrative support services.

AEXP5. Experience in using a financial system, such as, but not limited to; SAP, SIGMA, BI, BO, Freebalance, SAGE, Logibec, PBHC.

AEXP6. Experience in using a human resources management system, such as, but not limited to; My GCHR, HRIS or PeopleSoft.

AEXP7. Experience in the use of an information or file management system, such as, but not limited to; Sharepoint, GCDocs, IRIMS, EDRM or Live Link.

AEXP8. Experience in making travel arrangements and preparing travel claims.

AEXP9. Experience working in a legal, quasi-judicial or judicial environment, such as in a tribunal, court, commission, law firm or notary office.

AEXP10. Experience providing court-related or legal administrative support services.
