WHO ARE WE?

Chief Finances Results Delivery Office (CFRDO) is responsible for providing leadership and ensuring effective management of departmental financial resources within the legislative mandate. It provides strategic advice, oversight, and support to the DM and Senior Executive Team to ensure integrity in the planning and operations of the Department. It provides advice in developing Cabinet proposals, with a focus on ensuring accurate costing. It supports services in the areas of financial planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, contracting and procurement, assets and materiel management.

The Sector is also accountable for providing grants and contributions advisory and support services, including the development of national funding agreements models and guidelines; the establishment of funding agreement service standards; and the national monitoring, compliance and reporting.

Intent of the process

The immediate intent of this poster is to fill two (2) indeterminate positions with various linguistic requirements.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and used to fill similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements, various security requirements, various conditions of employment, various locations and various durations (acting, assignment/secondment, deployment, term and/or indeterminate) within Crown Relations and Northern Affairs Canada and Indigenous Services Canada.

EDUCATION:

The minimum standard is:
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).

1. The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
o A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
o An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Significant** and recent* experience in conducting security inspections, or threat and risk assessments or compliance audits.

Experience in providing advice and guidance to stakeholders and management***in the resolution of security or health and safety issues.

Experience in reading architectural plans or reports and specifications to provide security advice.

Experience in providing mentoring, training or information sessions.

*Recent means the individual conducted the duties within the last two (2) years.
**Significant means the individual has a minimum six (6) months experience.
***Management is defined as director level and above.

A post-secondary school diploma in Facilities Management, Security Management, Police Foundation or some other specialty related to the position.
