Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in a field related to the duties of the position (examples: Law, Business, Accounting, Public Administration, Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Sciences, Environment, Land Management, and Law Enforcement).
Experience:
Experience in regulatory policy and law, including the application of compliance and/or enforcement measures.
Significant* Experience in leading teams (*3-5 years)

Knowledge of relevant legal regimes.
Knowledge of appropriate tools, investigative techniques, and preparation of associated documents (Notice,Warning, Reports, Orders) as part of compliance management.

Indian Oil and Gas Canada manages and regulates oil and gas resources on designated First Nation lands across Canada. We are a special operating agency within Indigenous Services Canada. Our dual mandate is to fulfill the Crown's fiduciary and statutory obligations related to the management of oil and gas resources on First Nation lands and to further First Nation initiatives to manage and control their oil and gas resources such as governance.
