Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to fill four (4) full-time term (temporary) positions in Comox, British Columbia. These are English essential, 1-year term positions.

The official location of the position (designated worksite) to be staffed is 19 Wing Comox and requires full-time onsite attendance.

As a result of this process, a pool of candidates may be established and used to fill the same or similar positions with various
tenures, operational requirements, and conditions of employment.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS

As a result of workforce adjustment, affected indeterminate DND employees within the Aerospace Engineering Test Establishment (AETE - UIC 2671) at 4 Wing Cold Lake or within the British Army Training Unit Suffield (BATUS – UIC 7777) at Canadian Forces Base Suffield will be appointed or deployed to positions for which they are qualified ahead of other candidates.

Must be willing and able to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 kgs in accordance with general safety practices.
Must be willing and able to climb ladders to perform various duties at heights of up to eight (8) feet.
