ARE YOU READY?
No more endless processes! The PBC aims to establish a pool of partially qualified candidates by the end of May 2024! But what does that imply?

- Eight (8) screening questions (3 essential criteria, 4 assets and 1 operational requirement); and
- A written exam integrated into this application with four (4) development questions.
- No formal interview or reference check *.

The pool will be established immediately after the correction of your application and the evaluation of the official language proficiency. Ready, set, go!

* Hiring managers may conduct informal interviews or reference checks following the creation of the pool.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note:

Candidates may be required to meet the asset qualifications or the organizational needs, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed. Meeting one or many of the other qualifications may be a deciding factor in appointing a particular candidate amongst the qualified candidates. Please note that one, some or all of the asset qualifications could be used at any stage of the staffing process.

All information obtained throughout the selection process, from the time of the application to the end of the process, may be used to evaluate the candidates.

In support of achieving a diverse workforce, consideration may be given to candidates who, at the time of application, self-declare as belonging to one of the following designated Employment Equity groups** : Aboriginal person, Persons with a Disability, Member of visible Minority group or Women. This is why we encourage you to do so, although it is completely voluntary.

** The terms “Aboriginal peoples”, “persons with disabilities” and “members of visible minorities” are used, to align with the terminology defined in the Employment Equity Act (1986). We understand and recognize that these terms may be offensive and that candidates may prefer to use other terms.

We also administer some other very interesting programs: Record Suspensions (Pardons), Expungement (Historically Unjust Convictions), and Clemency (Royal Prerogative of Mercy).

We are a diverse, inclusive and barrier-free organization that draws on the talent, ideas and creative potential of all our employees. We support positive mental health and work-life balance, which includes a flexible telework policy. We also support second language learning through a dedicated budget and employee learning through a Collective Learning Roadmap.

We are part of the core federal public service and an employer of choice! But don’t just take our word for it – check out what our employees have to say*:

• 94% feel their work contributes to the achievement of the organization’s goals.
• 90% are proud of the work they do.
• 90% say their immediate supervisor supports the use of flexible work hours.
