In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education : A Masters degree in sciences or engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution combined with acceptable experience

Degree equivalency

Experience:
EX1. Recent experience (i.e., within the last 2 years) in co-designing natural sciences related research projects in collaboration with government and/or industry and/or academic scientists.
EX2. Experience independently collecting, statistically analyzing, and interpreting scientific data.
EX3. Experience using programming R Statistical Software to generate and interpret publication-quality outputs.
EX4. Experience using 3D LiDAR or Multispectral data operations and analysis

Knowledge:
K1. Knowledge of common plant species found in natural and disturbed boreal ecosystems.
K2. Knowledge of univariate, multivariate, and ordination-based statistical analyses, including for community-type data.
K3. Knowledge of occupational health and safety priorities and processes in field and laboratory-based or natural-sciences research.

Abilities:
A1. Ability to communicate scientific research results effectively in writing
A2. Ability to communicate scientific research results effectively orally.
A3. Ability to deploy and maintain field equipment to monitor forest disturbances and their impact on vegetation.
A4. Ability to plan, organize and carry out remote sensing data collection campaigns using UAV-LiDAR or multispectral sensors
