At the moment, the official location (designated workplace*) of the positions are in the National Capital Region (Ottawa, Gatineau). These positions support hybrid work. Based on reasons of efficiency, effectiveness, operational requirements and/or for reasons of collaboration, building team spirit, innovation, and creating a culture of belonging, the appointee will be required to work onsite for a minimum of two days per week (40% of their regular work schedule). Prior to appointment, the hiring manager will discuss with the successful candidate(s) the options and/or specifics as it pertains to the work arrangement.

The Innovation, Information and Technology Branch (IITB) is responsible for the information management, cyber security, information technology and equipment needs, and technology transformation initiatives for the department. The branch is at the heart of the outcomes that allow ESDC to align with multiple Government of Canada priorities, including providing citizen-centered services and achieving the outcomes of ESDC’s Service Strategy.

EDUCATION:
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Notes:
1. Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.

📋 Assessment: Candidates must meet all the essential criteria in order to be appointed.
