Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to fill two (2) immediate vacancies in Gatineau, QC and seven (7) immediate vacancies in Ottawa, ON.

A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may also be established to fill current and future vacancies with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), language profiles, security requirements, and conditions of employment in various locations within the Department of National Defence.

🏫 EDUCATION⤵

↪ Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
↪ Note:
1. Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.
2. Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.
3. At the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum education stated above. ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE ⤵

AEX1. Experience in supervision.
AEX2. Experience conducting reviews, risk assessments, and studies in cyber security according to policies, directives, and standards (including but not limited to GC, CCCS, or DND).
AEX3. Experience in identifying and improving elements of the Cyber Mission/Materiel Assurance and Platform Protection Program that require development.
AEX4. Experience working within generic project management structures specific to IM/IT principles such as networks and application management.
AEX5. Experience in Systems Development Lifecycle.
AEX6. Experience developing technical solution architecture for IM/IT solutions.
AEX7. Experience managing IM/IT projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and risk management.
