For each experience criterion, please provide concrete examples including the following information:
1. Name of the organization where the experience was acquired;
2. Title of the position occupied and duration (including dates) for which you exercised the functions;
3. Specific details of tasks, projects, or accomplishments demonstrating how the experience was acquired.
The screening questions will be used as the primary tool in the screening process and the résumé will be used to substantiate the information provided. Applications that do not clearly demonstrate how the screening criteria are met will be eliminated from consideration. The development, implementation and regional delivery of an environmental program or environmental services and the provision of related technical, scientific, regulatory/non-regulatory and/or management advice to internal and external clients/stakeholders.

A pool of essentially qualified candidates will be established from this process which may be used to staff similar positions within Transport Canada at various locations, with various tenures (indeterminate, specified period, acting, assignment/secondment, deployment), and various conditions of employment, which may vary according to the position to be staffed. Education:
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in physical science, biological science, environmental engineering, or some other science relevant to the position.
Experience:
• Significant* and recent** experience leading contaminated sites projects involving two or more of the following: 1. Phased Environmental Site Assessment, 2. Environmental Risk Assessment, 3. Remediation.
• Significant* experience providing strategic and/or technical advice to management and/or clients.
• Experience participating in complex*** contaminated sites projects.
* Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with performing related work activities, which were primarily the candidate’s responsibility, completed with minimal supervision, over the course of five (5) or more years.
** Recent is defined as experience acquired within the last ten (10) years.
***Complex is defined as projects or programs with two (2) or more of the following factors: high level of public or media attention, multi-stakeholder, multi-organizational, multi-jurisdictional, emerging contaminants, Indigenous consultations, regulatory interest, or any other factors that the candidate can demonstrate constitutes complex.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
• Significant* experience leading complex*** federal contaminated sites projects.
• Significant* experience working on human health and ecological risk assessments where Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) are the key contaminant of concern.
• Experience working on assessment and management of federal aquatic contaminated sites.
• Experience working on federal environmental risk assessments.
• Experience in the planning and implementation of environmental remediation projects involving a construction component.
• Experience supervising staff and/or managing consultants/contractors.
• Experience participating in Indigenous and/or public consultation processes.
