Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff 7 positions with linguistic profiles of English Essential or Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, CCC/CCC as well as a RCMP security clearance requirement of Enhanced Reliability.

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Ed: Successful completion of a secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives
The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
• A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
• An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience

Degree equivalency

Ex1: Experience interpreting financial policies or directives and providing advice and guidance to clients and/or management.
Ex2: Significant* experience in providing client service (clients internal and/or external to government)

* Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired in the public or private sector through performance of the duties over approximately one (1) year.

Asset qualifications:
AEx1: Experience in interpreting and providing advice on the RCMP Integrated Relocation Program, the NJC Relocation Directive, the NJC Travel Directive, the Canadian Forces Integrated Relocation Program or the Foreign Service Directives.
AEx2: Experience using TEAM (SAP).

Operational requirements:
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as required
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Willingness to work in the office and / or offsite

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - All applicants for positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be subject to a thorough security clearance process which includes an interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to), reference checks, previous employment, on-line activities, credit checks, alcohol and/or drug use.
