The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is looking for talented and skilled individuals in to join our dynamic team. This process will be used to staff positions of various tenures with various linguistic profiles within the RCMP in Ottawa, Ontario. Positions are located at 73 Leikin Drive, 1200 Vanier Parkway, 1 Sandridge Road and 1426 St Joseph Boulevard.
This pool will not be used to staff positions outside of the RCMP.

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives*

Experience in performing general administrative duties** in an office environment
**General administrative duties may include experience such as:
- compiling information and preparing correspondence, documents, or reports;
- ordering supplies when necessary, and controling inventory;
- maintaining and submitting accounts for payment (controlling and processing invoices);
- responding to inquiries for information relevant to the functions of the work unit or organization;
- coordinating meetings, conferences, information sessions or events;
- scheduling and organizing business travel arrangements or processing claims;
- maintaining administrative hard and electronic filing systems;
- maintaining operational budget and compiling financial records.

Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, BBC/BBC, CCC/CCC)
For bilingual positions, the minimum language level that will be required for your second language is a B level (intermediate) for a minimum profile of BBB/BBB. The C level (Advanced) may be required for some positions (CBC/CBC, BBC/BBC, CCC/CCC).
If you have already been tested by the Public Service Commission (PSC), have received a level B or higher in Reading, Writing and/or Oral interaction and your results have not expired, please ensure that you have an official copy ready to be sent to us upon request. If you have expired results, have never passed these exams and/or have not achieved at least the B level, you will be contacted and scheduled during the process. Reading Comprehension and Written Expression SLE exams will be administered online. Candidates who require an oral evaluation will be invited only once they have been found successful in all other steps of the selection process.

Reliability Status security clearance - All positions staffed will require an RCMP Reliability Status security clearance level or higher.

HOW TO APPLY:
You will be required to answer screening questions to demonstrate how you meet the Essential Qualifications (Education and all Essential Experiences).
When answering the screening questions, it is not sufficient to say that you have the required qualifications or to list your current or past responsibilities. Rather, you must provide concrete examples of tasks you have accomplished with significant details to explain the WHAT, WHEN, WHERE and HOW you acquired each qualification.
For each experience criteria, please provide the following information:
1- Name of the department or organization where the experience was acquired;
2- Title of the position occupied, group and level and the period(s) in which you performed the functions (M-Y to M-Y);
3- Specific details of tasks or projects demonstrating how the experience was acquired (Situation/Challenge, Tasks, Action and Result).
Should your responses to the screening questions contain insufficient details to demonstrate that you meet the screening criteria, your application will not be given further consideration in this process. Candidates will not be solicited for incomplete or possible missing information.
Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
