Work environment

Who are we?

Chief Finances Results Delivery Office (CFRDO) is responsible for providing leadership and ensuring effective management of departmental financial resources within the legislative mandate. It provides strategic advice, oversight, and support to the DM and Senior Executive Team to ensure integrity in the planning and operations of the Department. It provides advice in developing Cabinet proposals, with a focus on ensuring accurate costing. It supports services in the areas of financial planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, contracting and procurement, assets and materiel management.

The Sector is also accountable for providing grants and contributions advisory and support services, including the development of national funding agreements models and guidelines; the establishment of funding agreement service standards; and the national monitoring, compliance and reporting.

Intent of the process

The immediate intent of this poster is to fill three (3) indeterminate positions.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and used to fill similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements, security requirements, various conditions of employment, various locations and durations (acting, assignment/secondment, deployment, term and/or indeterminate) within Crown Relations and Northern Affairs Canada and Indigenous Services Canada.

The minimum standard is:

o An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Recent* experience in the development or delivery of a security program.

Recent* experience coordinating or conducting research including analyzing and documenting key findings in reports.

Recent* experience collaborating, consulting, or liaising with various security partners or stakeholders in relation to program issues, policies or initiatives.

* Recent means the individual conducted the duties within the last five (5) years.

ASSET EXPERIENCE:

Recent* experience developing security design briefs and coordinating services as required for moves, construction projects and renovations; reviewing clients’ business processes and facilities to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate potential risks and threats.

Recent and significant* experience in the delivery of Security-related services in one or more of the following functional areas:
• Physical security
• Event Management
• Security in Contracting and other arrangements
• Personnel security screening
• Administrative security investigations
• Security awareness/education

*Recent and Significant means 2 years within the last 5 years.
