Intent of the process

A pool of qualified candidates may be created and may be used to staff identical or similar positions requiring various linguistic requirements (English essential, French essential or Bilingual) and profiles (BBB/BBB and CBC/CBC), various security requirements (reliability or secret status) and various tenures ( Indeterminate, determinate, deployment, assignment, secondment, acting and extensions) within Environment and Climate Change Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.

Note:
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

Both EC-03 & EC-04:
• Experience* gathering, analyzing, and presenting scientific, environmental, or economic data.
• Experience* working as a member of a project team.
• Experience* researching, analyzing, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative information from various sources relating to legal, policy or program components to write reports.
• Experience* engaging or collaborating with various partners, or stakeholders, or clients.

EC-04 only:
• Experience* developing reports, briefing notes, correspondence, or web content targeting various audiences.

*Experience is defined as a range of activities that are part of the candidate’s primary responsibilities.
