Work environment

ACOA is gradually increasing access to our various offices. A combination of work from home and work in the traditional worksites is the current norm (hybrid work). There is an expectation for employees to attend the office at a minimum two days each week and possibly more when required.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Degree equivalency

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
• Significant* experience at the regional level in the management of economic policies and programs.
• Significant* experience in mobilizing and maintaining strategic collaborative relationship with multiple stakeholders**.
• Experience in providing strategic advice and solutions to senior management on complex or sensitive issues related to programs delivery.
• Experience in managing human and financial resources.

Significant* experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired with approximately three (3) years' experience at a senior level (in a position reporting directly to an executive level).

**Stakeholders is defined as officials within one’s own department, other federal departments, industry, other levels of government, communities of interest or not-for-profit organizations at the senior level.

ASSET EDUCATION:
Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in one of the following: Commerce, Business/Public Administration or Economics.

Degree equivalency

ASSET EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in regional economic development program delivery.
• Experience in leading the introduction of new processes or technology for a work unit, branch or region.
• Experience in the management of grants and contributions programs.
