Duties

User Support Analyst
Performs user acceptance testing by analyzing changes made to computer systems to ensure they meet the business requirements and end user goals. This entails reviewing technical specifications for expected results, and then analyzing actual changes and documenting evidence that results met or diverged from expectations.

Client Advocate Officer
Provides independent review, analysis, and processing of client requests related to program appeals and complex applications (e.g., Conflict of Interest (COI), dire financial circumstances, challenging industry sectors) in accordance with program policies and procedures; Communicates with clients both orally and in writing; maintains records of actions; identifies problematic circumstances impacting program policies and procedures.

Senior Programs Officer
Validates information submitted on program applications and processes program payments, government contributions and client withdrawals by using a variety of database systems. Reviews and enters complex adjustment requests. Communicates with clients and their representatives to provide and receive detailed financial information and information on program rules and policies.

Procedural Referrals Analyst
Provides guidance to a wide range of internal clients across divisions, in response to inquiries on processes, operational systems, processing methods and procedures. Investigates, analyzes, and queries processing results on complex farming operations and for potential system problems to assist in resolving problematic participant files. Participates on project teams and working groups and provides system knowledge and subject matter expertise that contribute to the annual readiness cycle and process integrity of Business Risk Management programs.

Default Program Officer
Coordinates and processes default claim files by reviewing, analyzing, and validating submissions from external administrators. This includes the analysis and preparation of financial transaction reports and summaries. Communicates with internal and external clients to discuss claim requirements, and obtain required documentation.

Overpayment Recovery Officer
Analyzes, validates, monitors and reports on financial account information related to Program accounts receivable in collaboration with colleagues from various AAFC departments and divisions. Coordinates the loading of external account receivable data into program system applications. 
Security, Accommodations and Emergency Management Officer
Provides advice, guidance and services to management and staff pertaining to security, accommodations and emergency management using government policies and directives directly linked to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).

Internal Communications Officer
Supports management and staff through writing, research, coordination and distribution of communication products, including all staff emails, content of articles for internal newsletter including writing, graphic design, editing, and seeking management approval for distribution. Organizes, plans and provides logistical coordination for corporate initiatives and educational activities.

Intent of the process

Farm Income Programs Directorate (FIPD) is always looking for dynamic and dedicated individuals to be part of our growing team that administers farm programs to Canadian Agricultural Producers! This selection process will be used to fill immediate and future Full-time permanent and temporary vacancies located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The duties of the positions we are looking to staff are detailed in the "Duties" section. There is a possibility that other positions will be staffed using this process.
