The anticipated intent/result of this process is to indeterminately staff (on a full time basis) one position.
A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future permanent or temporary vacancies (including terms, actings, casuals, assignments and secondments) in similar-level positions (at full or part-time hours, including shift-work). Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for a period of one year and may be extended.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
• Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience in reviewing files in PRIME for content and compliance.
2. Experience in reviewing and assessing reports for clarity and accuracy.
3. Experience in making arrangements with the courts.
4. Experience in disclosure and responding to requests for information.
5. Experience in preparing and maintaining records, reports, and statistics related to the operational information.
6. Experience in using a variety of computer software applications including Word Office Suite, e-mail and Internet .
7. Experience in preparing correspondence such as memos, letters etc.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience in reading and assessing occurrence files in PRIME for content, quality and compliance and determining circumstances and appropriate processing methods.
2. Experience in ensuring complete and accurate reports such as thorough and compliant reports to Crown Counsel; or knowledge of legal and procedural requirements for submissions to Crown Counsel.
3. Experience in using data bases such as PRIME, JUSTIN and CPIC.
4. Experience in procedures for Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) applicable to reporting to Statistics Canada.
ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:

Successful candidates will require a valid RCMP security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain an RCMP security clearance may involve, but is not limited to, a security/reliability interview, a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity, verification of credit/financial status, reference checks, education, employment history, online activities, alcohol and/or drug use, etc., and may require certain residency requirements.

Interested persons must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to the position, in a manner determined by the Selection Board. A person may be appointed to the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements or organizational needs. However, meeting these criteria is desirable and may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.
Please note that within the context of this selection process, travel costs/expenses will not be reimbursed. Consequently, candidates will be responsible for travel costs.
Random selection may be used to identify which applicants will be assessed or appointed in this appointment process.

If a qualified candidate has been selected and appointed on an indeterminate basis from the established pool, they will be removed from the pool. If a candidate is selected for a specified period (including term, acting, or assignment/secondment) appointment, they will remain in the pool for future offers.
Experience qualifications will be assessed upon application. Further confirmation or assessment may be conducted through reference checks.
All communication relating to this process, including e-mail correspondence and telephone conversations may be used in the assessment of qualifications of the candidate.
