As a Human Resources Assistant working in staffing, you will be asked to:
✔ Draft advertisements and notifications to staff positions using the Public Service Resourcing System (PSRS) (what you are looking at right now!)
✔ Draft and issue letters of offer
✔ Coordinate with candidates on selection processes (just like this one!) such as sending invitations to exams, interviews, etc., and responding to accommodation and rescheduling requests
✔ Prepare and maintain assessment board reports in Excel to track the assessment results from selection processes
✔ Liaise with clients to request documentation and information
✔ Collaborate with the Human Resources Advisor to support the client’s staffing needs
✔ Complete data entries in a Human Resources Information Management System

Elections Canada offers a hybrid work model which permits telework based on operational requirements. The immediate intent of this process is to staff one (1) term position.
A pool qualified candidates will be established to fill positions at the same or equivalent group and level at Elections Canada with varying tenures (such as indeterminate, specified period, casual).

EDUCATION:
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience providing client services* or administrative support services**.
*Client service may include providing service to clients is defined as, but is not limited to: answering telephone calls, providing assistance to clients, serving the public.
** Administrative support services may include, but not limited to: the performance of tasks such as entering/tracking information in databases, planning or coordinating meetings, preparing or reviewing documents for accuracy, coordinating incoming and outgoing correspondence, filing, writing minutes of meetings, collecting data and preparing tables.
ASSET EXPERIENCES:
Experience in data input and extraction to produce reports.
Experience in supporting Human Resources Advisors.
Experience in coordinating information sessions or administering various written exams and/or interviews.
Experience using a Human Resources Management System, such as PeopleSoft, MyGCHR, PIMS, PSRS.
Experience entering data in a human resources system.
OPERATIONNAL NEED:
Be willing to come to work at least 2 times a week at the office located at 30 Victoria Street in Gatineau.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)
